InstaSHIELD™ is a 100% solids, three-component, coating similar in performance to moisture-cured urethanes.  When exposed to the patented dual-wave UV light from the UV curing machine, InstaSHIELD™ cures immediately, ready for foot traffic.

Compared to other similar materials, the application of InstaSHIELD™ floor coating is almost 10 times faster than epoxy or urethane.  Typical Prep-to-Wheeled traffic time for InstaSHIELD™ is 4.5 hours for 1000 square feet of previously coated floors where epoxy or moisture-cured urethanes are a minimum of 40 hours.

Reduces Slips and Falls

InstaSHIELD™ has a Coefficient of Friction (COF) of .52-.57 based on the ASTM D2047 James Friction Tester.  Because of an aluminum oxide being mixed into the coating  prior to application, there is a slight texture or sparse grit like feel which, when cured, enables InstaSHIELD™ floor coating to reduce slips and falls and ensure wear time.
